Summary: There's a first time for everything and Kelly wanted to give Tony DiNozzo one of his.

"Get your ass out of bed, DiNozzo!"

If it hadn't been for the definite female tone, Tony would have sworn that it was Gibbs currently shouting at him just outside his bedroom. As it was, Gibbs would kill him if Kelly happened to see Tony in his normal sleeping attire. Kelly may be over eighteen now, but Tony wasn't about press his luck when it came to the daughter of Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

He snatched the crumpled pair of boxers from the floor and slid them on before getting out from under the covers. Tossing an Ohio State t-shirt on, he opened the door and saw a smiling Kelly looking back at him.

"What are you doing in my apartment at…" he paused as he looked back at his alarm clock. "At seven in the morning? Better yet, how the hell did you get into my apartment? Unlike your dad, I lock my door."

"Dad taught me to pick locks when I turned sixteen. It was my birthday present. And we have a date."

Tony scratched at his unruly hair as he tried to figure out what Kelly was talking about. "I need coffee and a shower and then maybe you'll make some sense. Your dad would do unspeakable things to me and then have Abby and Ducky dispose of the body, so there is no dating between me and you."

"I brought you coffee," Kelly chirped as she produced a cup. As he sniffed at it, she added, "Complete with extra cream and sugar. And don't tell me you forgot our agreement last fall when you were still staying with us."

Tony let the caffeine and sugar slide down his throat as he thought back to when he had just started at NCIS the previous fall. Without an apartment in the area, he had started out in a cheap motel. Then he was injured one week in and Gibbs had seen the state of his living arrangements. Before he could argue, he was in the spare room at Gibbs' house and Kelly was talking his ear off around doing her homework for the night.

He had stayed with them for a month before finding an apartment that Gibbs approved of and during that time, he had bonded with the younger Gibbs. She was constantly talking, a trait she must have gotten from her mom. She also had a habit of asking him random questions about his childhood and he had been surprised at how much information she had wrangled from him. She probably knew more about him than anyone else in the world, and that was a scary thought.

But thinking back, he couldn't remember anything specific about plans for the summer. The only thing he did remember agreeing to was assisting in her move to college in the fall, provided a case didn't interfere. But he couldn't recall anything else that would have her waking him up so early on a Saturday morning.

"We're going to Six Flags America today, doofus. Remember, you said you've never been to an amusement park, even after you got out of that hellhole you grew up in. So today, I'm taking you and you are going to have the time of your life."

As Kelly stood there with her hands on hips, Tony felt the corners of his mouth turn up in a smile. He could feel the twinge of excitement in his gut at doing something new and something he had always wanted to do. It didn't take long for him to get ready for a day of fun and let Kelly cart him off to the park.

"How come I've never done this before?" Tony said at random as they walked through the park. He took another bite of the cotton candy he had stood in an obscenely long line for and gave another contented sigh.

Kelly just chuckled at his behavior and pointed him toward another ride. She had instructed him on taking the water rides first, so that they could spend the rest of the day drying off as they hit the coasters and such. She had also cautioned him on not eating too much, but every time she turned around, he was purchasing another bit of candy or fair type food.

After his second corndog, Kelly reiterated her warning, "You know, you're gonna get sick on the coasters after all of that junk."

Tony just laughed. "I've ridden with your dad after lunch and seeing a decaying body. I think I can handle a little coaster."

"Don't say I didn't warn you," Kelly signsonged as they headed for the long line of the first coaster.

Five rides later found Tony holding a hand protectively over his stomach as it churned.

"Guess I shouldn't have had that last dog," Tony said with a grimace.

Kelly resisted telling him, 'I told you so,' and instead asked quietly, "Do you want to head out?"

"Not on your life. We still have one coaster left to hit and we haven't even made it to one of the live stage shows."

"Let's get going then," Kelly said and dragged him off for another ride.

They were on the second upside-down turn when Tony felt the bile rise in his throat. He fought in vain to hold it back, but was unsuccessful as the contents of his stomach spread from the force of the wind on the ride.

As he exited, with Kelly supporting his shaky legs, he tried to ignore the complaints from the other riders he could hear behind them. He didn't feel good and embarrassment was beginning to set in.

Kelly tugged him to an out of the way bench and produced a bottle of water and a damp cloth from somewhere. "This should help," she said quietly.

Tony looked up with thanks written in his eyes. "And here I thought I had a much stronger stomach than that. I guess I'll call you Iron Guts Kelly from now on."

Loved the brother/sister relationship you're building between these two. It fits so well with the father/son thing between Tony and Gibbs. And I love the look I'm imagining on Tony's face at the idea of dating Gibbs's daughter!

Oh yeah, dating Kelly is like the death sentence in Tony's mind. There are fences and barriers, highly trained guard dogs that bite off sensitive boy bits, etc... :-)

I still have to figure out exactly what Gibbs and Tony's relationship will be in the verse. You know, I flip-flop between slash and gen with those two that I never know what's going to come out when writing a fic with them in it.

But I'm definitely doing the brother/sister route for Tony and Kelly. Tony needs someone just as much as Kelly needs someone that is not her dad.

Well, *so far* the 'verse has a strong gen vibe to it. The way Tony thinks about Gibbs's reactions is more father/son than slashy.

Of course, the 'verse could veer off in any direction according to the whims of your Muse!

And yeah, Kelly and Tony need each other. Of course, in my world they'd be getting into mischief together... *g*

And in your world, they'd be punished together. :-)

Yeah, I've set it up gen for the moment... I'm kinda leaning toward keeping it there, but then I haven't had any full Tony and Gibbs interaction yet. Who knows. When I try to write Tony/Abby, Gibbs somehow always slips in there. And when I aim for gen with them, the slash just sometimes pops up. We'll have to see what the muse has planned.

All that said, I would like to play with how Kelly would deal with her father being in a relationship with a man at some point. I'm not sure this is the verse for it, but I'll have stew over that.

*nods* Muses always get the final say on what happens... even when they change their minds about something like p.o.v. when you've almost finished the story and they want you to go back and rewrite the whole damn thing! *nods again*

I can see Kelly being more upset about her dad being in a relationship with *someone* than about it being a man. I can even see her being annoyed because she likes Tony, which makes it harder for her to treat him like the next in the chain of evil step-moms.

*glares* you're feeding the muse....

Oh, my fic: Henry, Please Come Home: http://kaylashay81.livejournal.com/106329.html

That's a good example of what happens when my muse tries to write Gibbs/Tony gen fic.
