Tony puts a paddle (or other implement) in his own stocking because he doesn't know how to ask Gibbs to spank him.

Tony furtively crept down the stairs, paying close attention to that third step that always creaked. Logically, he knew that Gibbs would know who placed it in the stocking since there were only the two of them. And Tony couldn't play that one off on Santa, because Santa didn't exist. Especially a Santa that delivered items found in those dark and seedy stores with the blacked out windows.

No, Gibbs would know, but that meant that Tony wouldn't need to ask. Gibbs would know and Tony could only hope that the man felt the same way.

"Please," Tony whispered as he placed the wooden paddle in his stocking. "Please let him want this too."

"I do," the words caused Tony to jump, but he was steadied by strong arms wrapping around him. "All you had to do was ask."

The one where Tony used to be in the Marines and Gibbs used to work in Baltimore
kaylashay
Dec. 19th, 2011 03:05 am (UTC)
Jethro looked over at the younger man with the short cropped hair and could see the desolation building within him. He wanted to find some way to help the man, the same way Franks had helped him all those years ago when he'd been poached from a bad situation in Baltimore.

Franks had taken a wet behind the ears detective and turned him into a federal agent. Franks had also helped him build his trust again after having it shattered by the man that was supposed to go to the wall for him.

Now he had a young Marine whose record indicated that he was one of the best to have at your back. But this Marine had also just lost his wife and child to a senseless crime. If left alone to his own devices, Jethro knew the man would implode. He needed to give the man an outlet, a purpose.

"Gunnery Sergeant DiNozzo!" he barked out, please when the other man snapped to attention. "I heard you're planning to leave the Corp. Got plans after?"

DiNozzo kept staring straight ahead, "No, Sir."

"Follow me," Jethro said as he walked down the hall. He didn't look back, sure that the other man was following him.

When he did stop, he turned to take in DiNozzo's expression as he read the words on the door in front of them.

"HR, Sir?"

"Yup. Figured I could use a hand getting the dirtbags off the street. You up for it?"

"Hoorah, Sir!"

And Jethro smiled.

A Blast from the Past
Remember how Tim saw kKate's ghost? I'm still waiting for someone to write that story....
kaylashay
Dec. 19th, 2011 03:16 am (UTC)
Re: A Blast from the Past
Tim closed his eyes, but he kept seeing Kate. Kate in her skin tight outfit, the wide collar around her neck.

It was Abby's fault really. When they'd been dating, they'd played a 'who would you do' game and Kate had been in the mix. That night had ended with a little role playing and he never thought privately of Kate the same way again. If he wasn't positive that Tony didn't think about her in that Catholic schoolgirl outfit, then he'd be upset.

Instead, he went with the flow and just remembered her in whatever way he could. Because remembering was all that mattered.

Gibbs is having nightmares about the 'failures' in his life. Failure to protect Shannon and Kelly. Failure to save Kate, Jenny, even Mike. He normally wakes up alone from these nightmares, until one night when he was woken by Tony.
kaylashay
Dec. 19th, 2011 03:37 am (UTC)
Gibbs jolted awake on the couch and scrubbed a calloused hand down his face. Everyone said that time healed, but to him, it was only making it worse. Much, much worse.

Every night it was like a parade through his nightmares. Shannon and Kelly, Kate, Jenny, Mike and all the countless he couldn't keep from death. But even worse was the nights when those still living graced his dreams, presenting him countless what-if scenarios of if what could have happened.

No, time wasn't making it better, it was just making it worse.

A week later...

Tony jolted awake when he heard a muffled cry coming from the living room. He rolled out of the guest bed and grabbed his gun from the nightstand.

When he reached the living room, he was greeted by the site of Gibbs thrashing on the couch, bathed in the street light filtering through the window.

"Boss?" he said softly as he knelt on the floor near the man. "Wake up, it's just a dream."

Suddenly blue eyes were looking at him with an glint that Tony had never seen from Gibbs.

"Boss?" he questioned again. "You were dreaming. Just a nightmare."

"Tony?" Gibbs' voice was rough. Then Tony gasped as the older man grabbed him and pulled him on the couch.

"Not letting you die, Tony. You got it."

"Got it, Boss," Tony said reassuringly around his confusion. "Not gonna die. Let's go back to sleep."

And they did just that, the nightmares never gracing Gibbs' dreams again.

Ohhh!!! The one where Gibbs and Tony kiss in the middle of the squadroom (tongue and copious groping included).
kaylashay
Dec. 22nd, 2011 04:57 am (UTC)
Four hours. Gibbs had been in the hands of Benson for four hours and they didn't have the first lead on how to find the man. Tony knew the others were giving him worried looks, but he couldn't help it. Gibbs was in the hands of a monster and they had no way of finding him.

Tony scrubbed a hand over his face as he thought of Ducky's report and the condition the other bodies had been found in. Each one had been raped, repeatedly. But even worse was the castration. Just the thought sent a shudder through Tony's body. Ducky said it had been early in the captivity. They'd still been a live before and after Benson had cut them.

"Damn!" Tony shouted, causing the others to jump in their seats. Then the elevator pinged.

They all looked up as Gibbs strode into the bullpen.

"Boss!" and Tony was running for the other man. He didn't register where they were or who was watching.

Tony latched on to Gibbs and pressed their mouths together. Gibbs had no choice but to go with the kiss and Tony worked his tongue into Gibbs mouth, mapping every inch he could. As the kiss continued, Tony's hands slid down to Gibbs' ass, kneading the flesh underneath. He pulled their groins together and a distant part registered that Benson didn't get a chance to do what he normally did.

It seemed like hours before Tony pulled his head back to take a much needed breath. But he kept their bodies together.

He didn't have to ask, Gibbs could see the questions written all over his face. Where? How? Why didn't you let us know you were okay?

"He's got a farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere. He wasn't counting on Rule Nine. Phone's dead," and he held up the broken phone for Tony to see.

Abby adores her new assistant, Dawn Summers, but even she's not sure what to make of her office knick knacks.
kaylashay
Dec. 22nd, 2011 05:04 am (UTC)
Dawn was no Chip. Abby was 99% sure she wouldn't have to use the duck tape with Caf!Pow combination on this one. She knew her way around a lab and was quick to catch on with things she didn't know.

They had the same taste in music and Abby had even spied a tattoo or too on Dawn's skin.

Even better, the nuns knew her when Abby took her for a bowling night. They'd asked her a few questions Abby didn't quite follow, but it had been a great night overall.

The only thing Abby didn't get was the things that Dawn kept around the office. There were charms and some books that leaned toward a magical bent. But even more odd was the wooden stakes that Dawn had placed throughout the lab.

The stakes were hand painted in abstract pattern that made them look more like art, but they were still wooden stakes. But Abby just chalked it up to a being a bit eccentric, just like she was. After all, it wasn't like vampires existed.

Third Time's the Charm
The first time had been the unexpected result of five days on a case with no down time to take care of things like he normally did when he didn't have a willing bed partner. They'd been making their way through a very tight and narrow crawl space when he'd stopped short from a sound heard up ahead. Gibbs didn't have time to stop behind him and had pressed full body against his backside. Knowing the other man's groin was touching his ass sent a welcomed thrill coursing through his body. He was just thankful he was in the lead.

The second time made it a coincidence. It had been another long case and he was starting to draw conclusions from that. This time, it had been Gibbs in the lead and him bringing up the rear. Only instead of full body contact while standing up, he'd stumbled into Gibbs' stopped body so hard it sent them crashing to the ground. Then in the chaos of untangling limbs, Gibbs had brushed his knee lightly across his jean-clad cock. Said cock had taken immediate interest and he did his best to will it away before Gibbs realized what his action caused.

Third time's the charm is what they say. And it also meant that it was no longer a coincidence. They'd both been knocked out when the perp tied them up, but now he was incredibly aware of his hard cock rubbing against Gibbs' equally hard cock as they struggled against the ropes holding them tightly together. They'd only been left with their boxers for coverage and he knew it wouldn't be long before things were forever changed between them. He risked looking into Gibbs' eyes that were all to close. Seeing his feelings returned put a smile on his face.

AU Gibbs as an art thief, Tony as the cop tasked with catching him.
kaylashay
Dec. 30th, 2011 05:01 am (UTC)
It usually took him a year to stage the theft and another year in follow-up to cover his tracks. So two years of his life was spent on one job. But in the end pay out was always worth it. Not to mention he had a decent paying job with benefits while he waited.

It was the perfect crime. He would get hired on a night security guard at which ever museum held his goal. He'd spend a year working is way in and studying every little nuance that would aid in pulling off the crime. Holidays were always the best time to strike because that's when the already sparse night crews were down to the bare minimum. In recent years, budget cuts all over had helped even more.

He'd make his move when no one was watching, because he was the one supposed to be watching. Then he'd go on with job like nothing happened. He'd hang on for six months to a year before moving on to his next assignment, nobody the wiser.

And now it was time to make his latest move. It was New Year's Even and only one other guard was on duty, Tony. The guy was new, only been on the job a few weeks. And every night, he seemed to fall asleep. This would make it all the easier to get the painting out.

He already had the painting down and was in the process of hanging up the well detailed copy when he heard the words, "Freeze."

Turning his head around, he saw Tony wide awake and holding a gun pointed at him. "Baltimore PD. And they said you couldn't be caught," he finished with a smile.

Gibbs just smirked back. The kid had gumption. Maybe he could poach him for a better life.

When the Call Came
The call came at eight in the morning. He'd just gotten home from a light jog and was planning his afternoon that would consist of bill paying, laundry and football. It had all seemed so normal and so unusual that he had been consciously waiting for the ball to drop and the phone to ring to signal a case. But it was a rare off weekend (Director's orders) and that call wasn't wouldn't come. So he thought.

As soon as he heard the first words, he was outside and in his car. He only hesitated for a moment when he thought of what the speaker on the other end was saying, what had happened. But he pushed those thoughts from his mind and sped in the direction the call had come from.

"Be alright. You gotta be alright," he mumbled out loud once the phone was disconnected.

Some strange form of autopilot had taken residence in his mind and body and he was pulling into the hospital's parking lot. He rushed through the doors, wanting to shout at anyone to take him to where he needed to be, to make everything alright.

Several nurses pointed him the right directions through the twisting, white hallways and he slowed up as he reached the critical care unit.

He tried to focus on the words the duty nurse was telling him, but his mind was reeling. Things like fractured vertebrae and punctured lung did not sound right in his head. Nothing sounded right.

He was told he had five minutes and he wanted to make those five minutes count. However, the first four and half were spent just staring at all the tubes and wires connected to the other man's body. The man that was barely recognizable under all the bruising and swelling.

Then everything snapped back to reality and he surged forward to gently take the only free hand within his own. He also reached up to lightly stroke the single tear that leaked from closed eyes.

"You know you can't die, right? You told me I couldn't once and now I'm telling -no- ordering you. You. Can't. Die. And no matter what these doctors say is gonna happen, I'm here. Got it, Boss?"

The Eulogy (Word Count: 900) Part 1
It was wrong, so very wrong. I was supposed to be giving the best man congratulatory speech and instead it was a eulogy.

The downward spire had started only one month prior when he wasn't able to come in to work. It was rare for any of us to get sick, so it had everyone on edge all day, particularly Ducky. We were in the middle of the case involving stolen, top secret computers and two dead Marine wives when Ducky got the call.

I could never remember Ducky looking so much his age before. Sure, we all knew that Ducky was old, but he never truly looked it, except maybe when Kate died. It was Gibbs who put a comforting hand on the older man's shoulder and guided him to a chair.

As Ducky spoke, it was very un-Ducky like. He didn't go off on a tangent. He just told the facts. And the facts were not welcomed news to any of us.

I could vaguely recall the mention of diabetes once during a case, the one with the blind guy. But it had never been an issue before or since. So that meant that it should have been under control. Apparently, control doesn't matter sometimes and shit just happens. Or in this case, nephropathy.

Ducky did elaborate on that word after our confused and concerned looks. It was kidney disease, and not just any kidney disease, it was end-stage renal disease. And short of a transplant, there wasn't much that could be done. Dialysis had been started, but it was just a stopgap.

Without debate or complaint, we all got tested to see if we matched. Hell, my dad even got tested on the off chance, but nothing. So in the end, he was put on a list and listed a good candidate for transplant. But being a good candidate meant jack shit when you didn't match anyone.

Changes came soon after, because he could no longer accompany us to the field. Instead, Breena was fast tracked through the hiring and approval process to be an assistant, much to her father's dismay. While she had always worked in the mortuary, her degrees and desire made her just as good of an assistant as her fiancé. It also allowed her more time to spend with him, because each day just seemed to be worse than the previous.

It was raining the day Breena called Ducky to break the news that left them all shell-shocked. There would be no transplant, no coming back and beating the odds. He was simply gone. However, unlike all the others before him, there was no case to deal with. There was nothing to become engrossed to forget the pain of losing him.

Gibbs was silent as he stood beside a seated Ducky who was in tears. I could see his fist that was not squeezing Ducky's shoulder clenched at his side. Something was going to be hit with that fist; I just hoped for the sake of his hand that it was a punching bag in the gym and not some wall.

Ziva was awkwardly trying to console an inconsolable Abby. Tim was just staring blankly at his computer screen. And Vance entered the space very briefly with a hand to Ducky's shoulder and some murmured words to Gibbs about them being placed on stand down.

Then time sped up again and there was a wake and now the funeral. I was standing up looking at a crowd of both familiar and strange faces. While I knew everyone from NCIS that was present, I didn't know his family and friends from outside the agency. However, Breena had asked me to speak and so I would, even if it broke a small piece of me to do so.

Gibbs thinks he's seeing Shannon and/or Kelly everywhere. What's up with that?

Senior is dating someone Tony knows. He comes clean to his son. Bonus if it is someone totally unexpected ;)

Change of Scenery (Word Count 230)
"What!?"

Tony collapsed down into the chair that was thankfully behind him. He couldn't believe it, any of it. He just wanted to rewind the day and start over.

"You heard me, Junior. I don't see what the problem is. It obviously worked for your Boss. The man lost his first wife and has been through the same number of divorces as I have. If a change of scenery, so to speak, worked for him, then why not me?"

"Why not?" Tony asked in a high-pitched voice. "You're my dad! You're not supposed to go- go-" Tony trailed off with a loss of words.

"Go what, Junior? Having a sexual identity crisis? I hear that you're never too young. And who's to say I didn't dabble back in my youth, before I met your mother of course. I was just more discrete than you were."

"Dad!" Tony whined as he dropped his head down and tried to cover his ears. "I don't want to hear about your dabbling or anything else pertaining to sex and you. Just- No."

"But you needed to know, Junior. Despite what you think, I am trying to make this work between and you and Jethro were honest about your relationship, so it's only fitting that I'm honest about mine."

"But why him?" Tony all but pouted. "Why McGee?"

"Why not?" Senior answered with a smile.
