This totally made my day! Thanks so much for sharing - I have limited net access this week and would likely have missed it if it didn't show up on my friends page. I completely agree, and am keeping everything crossed that we go back to story lines involving more dead petty officers and less TIVA drama.

I like the idea of Ziva and Code de Pablo is a beautiful woman. But ... (Knew that was coming, right?) I'm tired to death of her angst and attitude. If I were SFA and she treated me the way she (Ziva) treats Tony, she'd be buried under a hail of reprimands and write-ups.

I, too, would like to get back to cases.

I never really cared for the way she was always, I'll kill you with a paperclip. Sorta turned me off the character. And I'm tired of all the international stuff too.

I was absolutely delighted to read this news this evening. I admit, I liked Ziva when she first joined but as time went on and the route her character was heading down, added to the fact that Cote was becoming more and more irritating in interviews and articles, I've grown to loathe both her and the character. No tears shed here - I'm glad she's going! Now, maybe, we can get back to NCIS as it once was ;) fingers/eyes/legs crossed.

That....that's just frightening. I have heard actors talk about people who don't seem to be able to separate them from their characters, and they (the actors) almost universally find them to be not just annoying, but truly frightening. I mean, that's orders of magnitude different from the general annoyance of people interrupting your dinner out to ask you to quote a line from something, or being able to name characters you've played without being able to recall your actual name. This is one of the reasons that I was horrified when I discovered that people write "fanfic" using real people and not characters.

On a slightly more serious note, nothing about the character has ever made sense to me. The only training she has is her mandatory two years in the IDF and then straight into Mossad - where after no more than one year she is then handed the plum assignment of handling a deep cover operative, which she screws up (no matter how you slice it original or retconned version), so she is rewarded with a "liason" spot on the presumably top investigative team. Jeebus, even Alias made more sense than that.

Andit was all down hill from there. Oy.

I stopped watching once they used Tony as a scapegoat/comedy fonder for Ziva. Tony was a competent agent who enjoyed goofing off and not an incompetent goof. It irked me that they screwed his character so royally to play to the Tive crowd.

Also, am I the only one who was pissed that Kate had to die so that Ziva could come into the picture? I mean seriously, they could have come up with a plausible reason for Kate to leave, and then Sasha could have done guest appearances later on if they HAD to have Ziva.
